Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal information, payment security, and data portability · Version 2026-10

1. What Information We Store

We collect and store only the minimum data needed to schedule lessons, process studio credits, and send booking confirmations:

  • Contact Details: Your name, email address, and phone number (used solely for lesson coordination).
  • Lesson & Series History: Scheduled lesson dates and times, duration, mode (in-person or remote), booking status, and recurring series preferences.
  • Payment, Refund & Credit Ledger Records: Lesson amounts, Stripe reference identifiers, refund records with reason codes, and your studio credit ledger balance and history.
  • Transactional Email Logs: Delivery timestamps and status for login codes, confirmations, receipts, and lesson reminders.

2. Payment Card Security (Handled Exclusively by Stripe)

All credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank payment methods are handled exclusively by Stripe via Stripe Embedded Checkout. Your payment card numbers never touch, pass through, or are stored on our servers. When you opt into weekly recurring lessons, Stripe stores a tokenized payment method reference so future lessons can be billed securely.

3. Passwordless Email Authentication

We do not ask for or store student passwords. Your identity is your email address. Whenever you access your lessons at /login, we send a single-use 6-digit login code and a one-click magic link that expire after 10 minutes. Login codes and active session tokens are stored only as cryptographic SHA-256 hashes, and login requests are protected by rate limits and Cloudflare Turnstile.

4. Download All Your Data (/policies/my-data.json)

You own your lesson history. At any time, you can sign in with your email address and download a complete, machine-readable JSON file containing your student profile, bookings, recurring series, payments, refunds, studio credit ledger, and transactional email log.

5. Contact & Data Requests
