Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Policy Version: 2026-10 · Notice Threshold: 24 hours

Plain-Language Summary: Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your lesson for a full studio credit (or request a card refund by contacting the studio). Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice receive a studio credit valid for 12 months. If Anna ever cancels a lesson, you always have the choice of a 100% cash refund to your card or a 100% studio credit.

1. Early Student Cancellations (24 hours or more before lesson)

When you cancel a confirmed lesson at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

You receive an immediate 100% studio credit in your credit ledger, valid for 12 months from the date of issue. If you prefer a refund back to your card for an early cancellation, simply reply to your confirmation email or contact agr@lakefamilies.com. Current early-cancellation outcome setting: credit.

2. Late Student Cancellations (less than 24 hours before lesson)

Because late openings can rarely be filled on short notice, cancellations made less than 24 hours before your lesson start time are not eligible for a cash refund. Instead, you receive a 100% studio credit valid for 12 months that you can apply toward any future lesson at checkout.

3. Teacher Cancellations & Reschedules

If Anna Grace Roth ever needs to cancel a confirmed lesson due to performance travel, illness, or an emergency, you are notified immediately by email and given a one-click choice:

100% Cash Refund: Full refund returned directly to your original payment method via Stripe.
100% Studio Credit: Full lesson value added to your credit ledger (valid for 12 months) to rebook at your convenience.

If Anna proposes a new lesson time (a teacher-initiated reschedule), you can accept the new time in one click and your existing payment transfers automatically with no re-charge.

4. No-Show Policy

A lesson is marked as a no-show if a student does not attend in person or join the Zoom session and has not cancelled prior to the lesson start time. No-shows forfeit the lesson payment by default; however, the teacher may grant a one-click goodwill studio credit in extenuating circumstances.

5. Studio Credits & Policy Version

All studio credits are tracked in an append-only ledger tied to your email address, expire 12 months after issuance, and are never auto-applied without your explicit selection at checkout.
